started when she attended her first Spring Regional in Syracuse, NY and
discovered that there are others in this profession who have the same
vision = to enhance and improve ourselves both professionally and
personally. Cathy continues to grow also as an active member of the

Treasurer:
Connie
Van Hoesen, CEOE
Connie was first introduced to NYSAEOP in 1998 shortly after re-entering
the work force. The impact of participating and networking with many
other professional women across the state was motivation to seek out
what all NYSAEOP could offer. Connie has been a member of her state
association since 1999, but also became involved with her local county
association, her school local and then the national level by seeking her
Professional Standards Program certificate. She has been Secretary for
the Churchville Chili Association, Secretary and Vice President of the
county association and is currently Treasurer and PSP Liaison for
NYSAEOP. The NAEOP association has provided her with multiple committee
opportunities. On a personal level Connie is married and has three
grown daughters and two precious grandchildren. She has lived in the
Finger Lakes Region for most of her life but did spend some time in the
Lower Hudson Region and enjoyed a couple of years of working in the “Big
Apple” for Mobil Oil Corporation. The college sweetheart proposed and
she moved back to Rochester for a happy 8 year relationship with Eastman
Kodak Company. A unique sub position opened in her local school and
provided the motivation to see her return to secretarial work, and the
rest is as they say, “history”.
